Keep Thinkin' ('bout that book)

Lauren has the "normal" American stuff:
ipod, car, college dorm room, part-time job,
a roommate who works at a coffee shop, etc...

She also has a bizarre connection to Mercy, an 18 yr. old
girl from the Boston area who was accused of being
a witch... who lived in the seventeenth century!
And her unusual tie to an aging relative of Mercy's
has brought Lauren perplexing dreams and self-examination.

The book has done similar things to me!

In "The Shape of Mercy" by Susan Meissner, my viewpoints
were rattled as God began to reveal the
preconceived ideas that often dictate my
thoughts, actions and conversations.
Prejudice notions extend far beyond
what you may expect. A willingness to
address these incorrect mindsets and
choose instead a life of trust, honesty
and the joy of real friendship are the
rewards of being real and really loving.

It's a novel, yes, but a spiritual learning tool
that God used to dig around in my head and heart.
Hey, Jesus used stories to teach His truth....
and my brain connects with stories!

The publishers have given me two copies-
one for me and one to give away... FREE!!!

INTERESTED in FREE?

I want it! I want it! I want it! That's right, I want it! Yeah, OK, maybe I did give you the book but now I want it back. I need some fiction in my life ... a good, ol'fashion chick book! I need to cry, sigh and giggle! Maybe stay up late painting my nails, sipping tea and have a pillow fight.

HOLD ON.

Uhhh, I changed my mind. Give it to someone else. I'm gonna go change the oil in the truck, field dress a deer and lift some weights... UGH! I'm all man!

It's been a while since I've read a good novel, or any fiction for that matter besides children's books read aloud for the benefit of my little brother.

Luv you! Luv your blog!

I'd love to read it myself, just found out that I will be having some extra time off (that let's just say I didn't ask for) and some of it will be unpaid so I need something free :)

After I am done with it, I will pass it on (probably to a teenager in our Youth Ministry)

i don't know if you remember me, but you can pick me anyway... i love books, especially free ones. books, and the characters and ideas in them get inside me and rarely get out. so if there's good stuff in it, its for me!
